The DE-1001 is a high-output 2-inch throat compression driver engineered for professional audio applications that demand exceptional loudness, clarity, and reliability. Designed to cover the critical 500 Hz to 10,000 Hz frequency range, this driver excels in both midrange and high-frequency reproduction, making it an ideal choice for a wide variety of sound reinforcement scenarios.
Massive 99.2mm Voice Coil
The oversized voice coil provides superior power handling and heat dissipation, allowing the driver to maintain consistent performance under high-SPL conditions. The Kapton former ensures excellent thermal stability, while the copper wire winding delivers optimal conductivity and efficiency.
High Sensitivity - 100 dB
With a sensitivity rating of 100 dB, the DE-1001 produces substantial sound pressure levels with minimal amplifier power. This makes it an efficient solution for large-scale sound systems where maximum output is required.
Robust Ferrite Magnet Structure
The 60 oz ferrite magnet (Y35 grade, ¢190×81mm) generates strong magnetic flux, providing excellent driver control and dynamic range. The ferrite design offers reliable performance with minimal thermal compression, even during extended high-power operation.
Versatile Diaphragm Options
Available with either titanium or phenolic diaphragms to suit different tonal preferences. The titanium option delivers bright, articulate highs with excellent projection, while the phenolic variant offers a smoother, warmer character ideal for speech intelligibility and midrange-heavy content.
Professional Sound Reinforcement: Concert venues, theaters, and houses of worship where high output and vocal clarity are essential.
Line Arrays & PA Systems: Ideal as a mid/high-frequency driver in touring-grade loudspeaker systems.
Sports Stadiums & Outdoor Events: The high sensitivity and robust power handling make it well-suited for large outdoor venues requiring long-throw coverage.
Industrial & Commercial Audio: Public address systems, factories, and large retail spaces where speech intelligibility and coverage area are priorities.
Designed for standard 2-inch throat bolt-on mounting. Compatible with a wide range of horn configurations. A properly designed crossover network is recommended to optimize frequency response and protect the driver during operation.
